Buka, Buka… you worry me..
Some kind of black streak in the life of Russian localizations of Dawn of War, starting with the very first (“Juggernaut” and “Assault Armored Personnel Carrier”, which is actually a Land Raider, remember?), and this note on the back of the disc box – “translated with the participation of fans of the Warhammer 40,000 universe”..
And here is an example of errors in translation in the conversation of the characters:
Inquisitor, – "… I am from the Ordo Hereticus. "(well, even in English “Hereticus” sounds like “Hereticus”, and not with a hint of ahem. "male strength").
Friend, tell me how to deal with such poor quality work? Is it really impossible to be more careful about localization?? After all, there are more than enough examples like this.
Z.Y. But I’m still very happy about the release of this addon!

localizers are lazy, it’s time to get used to it a long time ago.
We’ve stopped translating speech lately
They also make mistakes in the text. ‘((
I understand that.
Actually, I’m thinking about getting into board gaming myself. But the point is that for such a specific product the quality of localization is quite excellent. The voices are chosen correctly, everything is in order with intonations. The text is mostly translated correctly and preserves canonical terms.
Small text errors in the translation will be completely cured, I think, with patches, because this is true, everything is completely fine here.
1) You can’t put pressure, but you can force them to lie down or retreat with a Tank Shock (sometimes this is enough to take a unit out of the game)
2) This is how possible mistakes during landing/disembarking during combat operations are played out.
Actually, what you indicated are little things that do not interfere with the gameplay. And I believe that it is really difficult to “be more careful in doing localization”, i.e.To. this will increase the time, and then you will already complain that the localizers are slow)
One way or another, the translation almost always does not coincide in some way with the original, so in order not to worry, use the original.
The second one can still be understood. But the first thing is, when orcs on bikes crash into someone, shouldn’t he get hurt??!
And I read all about it back then)
Then I started reading the Fluff Bible, from there I collected a lot of information.
As for the example with bikes – on bikes you can engage in close combat. And what the result will be depends on a lot. But tales can (under certain conditions) kill many of the squad in which they engage in close combat.
It’s right that I decided to read Fluff, there are threads on almost all questions (well, not counting purely game mechanics).
I agree with you, but not on everything.
What else is interesting to me is the translation into Russian that was in Beta – whose is it?
